TakeCtrl is a virtually conducted hackathon open for all girls and non-binary individuals around the globe. The event aims to encourage female and non-binary individuals to delve into the exhilarating world of CS for social good and marvel at a generation of future-minded geniuses, providing them with a platform to express their creativity and skill. Our unique structure of hackathon allows Computer Science students at different levels to participate as we provide beginner and advance.

Categories

  • Beginner: To contest in the beginner category, everyone in your team must have less than two years of coding experience. You are required to create a working product based on the theme (to be announced in the opening ceremony)

  • Advanced: To contest in the advanced category, at least one member in your team must have more than two years of coding experience. Beginner-level contestants who wish to challenge themselves are welcome to participate in Advanced category. However, your team will not receive any special consideration. Participants in the advanced category are required to create a working product based on the theme (to be announced in the opening ceremony)

  • Design Prototype: Participants in this category are required to present a static non-working prototype of the design of a proposed product related to the theme. We are looking for a perfect combination of innovation and feasibility that amazes and inspires.
